We are delighted with the recent announcement of the 2021 Guangdong Tertiary Public Hospitals Performance Appraisal that the Joint Shantou International Eye Center of Shantou University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (JSIEC) scored 815.17 and ranked first in the Category of Other Specialist Hospitals – Surgery. It is notable that JSIEC has obtained the highest grade (Level A) in the National Tertiary Public Hospitals Performance Appraisal (Category of Other Specialist Hospitals – Surgery) for four consecutive years and ranked top two years in a row in the Guangdong Province.
The Guangdong Tertiary Public Hospitals Performance Appraisal is a comprehensive assessment of five performance aspects of public hospitals: quality of medical services, operation efficiency, sustainable development, satisfaction evaluation by medical staff and patients, and government’s commanding tasks. Out of 59 assessment indicators, JSIEC has obtained full marks in 29, showing outstanding performance in medical services, quality and safety, talent development, cost control and social responsibility.
Congratulations to JSIEC!
