Medical students joining the “I LEARN, EYE CARE” Student Eye Care Ambassador Training Project will take part in the visual screening work under the “EYE SCREEN I.CARE” Eye Care and Visual Screening Programme. They can take the opportunity to receive clinical training and learn from the ophthalmologists. In addition, they also gain first-hand experience in conducting comprehensive eye examination for the participants of visual screening programme.

Since 2019, the “iP&ET Scheme” has received the strong support from various enthusiastic leaders in the community, including the Deputy District Governor of The International Association of Y’s Men’s Clubs (Hong Kong Division)/ Broad C, Mr CHOI Tin Man; the Executive Secretary of Yuen Long Town Hall, Mr LI Sing Pak; the President of The International Association of Y’s Men’s Clubs (Hong Kong Division), Mr CHIU Chi Yeung; the Vice President of The International Association of Y’s Men’s Clubs (Hong Kong Division), Mr Jackson LAU; the Building Facilities Inspector of Yuen Long Town Hall, Mr IP WK Nelson; and The International Association of Y’s Men’s Clubs (Hong Kong Division), Mr Terry LEE, that help us promote the participation of various organisations and schools in our research.  Without their strong support, our research could not be conducted smoothly.

In addition to valuable research data, we have also taken the opportunity to conduct outreach eye examination activities to serve the community.  Board C, Customs & Excise Department Volunteer Team and MPFA Volunteer Team have participated in the weekend research conducted in the CUHK Eye Centre.
