APAO Nakajima Award for Associate Professor Vishal Jhanji
Dr. Vishal Jhanji, Associate Professor and Head of Cornea and Refractive Surgery services in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, has been selected to receive the prestigious Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Nakajima Award.
Aimed at encouraging young ophthalmologists to play a more active role in ophthalmological development, the Nakajima Award honors individuals for their outstanding international work in ophthalmology. Dr Jhanji has been actively involved in international activities that assist in the development of ophthalmology, particularly in relation to prevention of blindness, ophthalmic service and research pertinent to major blinding conditions.
The award will be presented to Dr Jhanji at the coming APAO 2017 Congress in Singapore, in March 2017.
