DOVS postgraduate student LIAO Xulin obtains APAO Travel Grant Award

We are delighted to announce that Ms LIAO Xulin, postgraduate student of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, obtained the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology (MSO) – Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) Travel Grant at the 38th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress (APAO 2023 Congress).  She submitted two presentations to the APAO 2023 Congress for the Travel Grant Award and both presentations were accepted.   The MSO – MyCEB Travel Grant aims to support and encourage young delegates to attend the APAO 2023 Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, held from 23 to 26 February 2023.

With the Travel Grant Award, Xulin attended her first APAO Congress.  She delivered two presentations, Clinical Significance of Corneal Striae in Thyroid Associated Orbitopathy and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction Determines Tear Film Instability in Thyroid Associated Orbitopathy″, at the APAO 2023 Congress.

Xulin, at her third-year study at DOVS, is currently on the team of the Associate Professor Dr Kelvin KL CHONG to study oculoplastic, orbital, and ocular surface diseases.
