CUHK Professors Continue On the Council of the College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong

We are delighted to share that professors from the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) continue to serve on the Council of the College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong (COHK) for the 2025-2026 term.

Among those serving, Prof Jason CS YAM, Professor, maintains his role as Editor-in-Chief, while Dr Kelvin KL Chong, Associate Professor, serves as a Council Member. We are also glad to share that our Honorary Professors and staff have also taken on key roles, notably Dr YUNG Hon Wah, Clinical Associate Professor (Honorary), as President; Prof Carmen KM CHAN, Clinical Professor (Honorary), as Vice President for Professional Affairs; and Dr Thomas YH CHIU, Clinical Assistant Professor (Honorary), as Vice President for General Affairs.

COHK also recognised the longstanding contributions of Prof Clement CY THAM, Chairman of the Department, who has completed his term as Immediate Past President. Prof Tham has served the COHK with distinction for 18 years, taking on a wide range of leadership roles including Editor-in-Chief, Councillor, Honorary Secretary, Vice-President for Professional Affairs, Vice-President for General Affairs, President, and Immediate Past President. A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Prof Tham by COHK in recognition of his longstanding commitment.

We are honoured to see our colleagues continue to take on these important roles within COHK, and remain committed to contributing to the profession and the community.
