We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Prof Clement CY THAM, our Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), and Prof Calvin CP PANG, S.H. Ho Research Professor of Visual Sciences, have been named in The Ophthalmologist Power List 2024. This prestigious recognition serves as a testament to the exceptional work and influence that the whole CUHK Ophthalmology team have demonstrated in the field of ophthalmology.

The Ophthalmologist Power List has been dedicated to celebrating impact and excellence in ophthalmology for over a decade. The selection of the Top 100 ophthalmologists was carried out by a judging panel composed of 15 world-renowned ophthalmologists. Reflecting a diversity of specialties and based all around the world, the judging panel took into consideration the nominees’ contributions across clinical care, research, and business aspects. They evaluated cutting-edge issues and trends that are driving and shaping ophthalmology right now, as well as some lesser-known aspects of their backgrounds and interests.

In addition to Prof Tham and Prof Pang, other distinguished professionals selected include our Honorary Clinical Professor and former Department Chairman, Prof Dennis SC LAM, and our Honorary Professor, Prof WANG Ningli.
