CUHK Distinguished Scholar Programme – Professor Shlomo Melamed’s visit

Professor Shlomo Melamed’s visit to the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences on 24 September 2016 under the CUHK Distinguished Scholar Programme, was indeed an insightful sharing on his professional expertise with us. The Distinguished Scholar Scheme is supported by the Research Committee of the CUHK Faculty of Medicine.

Professor Melamed is a distinguished ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist at the Goldschleger Eye Institute, Sheba Medical Center in Tel HaShomer, Israel. He is a world renowned Clinical Professor sub-specialized in glaucoma. His inspiring and practical lectures on “Aqueous Drainage System” and “Schlemm’s Canal” would directly benefit our clinical research and patient care. Our research students had plenty of positive interactions with Prof Malemed, and gained lots of research insights from his teachings.
