CUHK Summer Institute Activity – CUHK Eye Centre and AOTEC Visit

The Office of Academic Links of the Chinese University of Hong Kong has organized a summer program (CUHK Summer Institute) for Hong Kong and international secondary school students. Fifty of the program participants visited our CUHK Eye Centre and CUHK Ophthalmic Research Centre at Hong Kong Eye Hospital on 20th and 21st July 2016. The students not only got familiar with our daily clinical practices, but also experienced our professional ophthalmic examinations, including corneal topography and optical coherence tomography. In addition, the students explored our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities at the Lee Wing Kit Advanced Ophthalmic Training and Education Centre (AOTEC), and appreciated the importance of ophthalmic research in patient care. We are much delighted to share our work and developments with the secondary school students. We hope this visit would inspire them in pursuing medicine as their career in future!
