Professor Clement Tham organizes the scientific programs for the World Ophthalmology Congress 2016

Professor Clement Tham has been elected as the Chair of the Scientific Program Committee for the World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC) 2016, which will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico, from 5th to 9th February 2016. This meeting has a long history going back to 1857 and it is the oldest international medical meeting in the world. WOC is a global ophthalmology conference, which aims to involve top experts from all around the world, including the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle-east, Africa and the Americas. In addition to individuals, WOC also targets to engage both national and subspecialty member societies from all over the world in the scientific programs. Apart from the diverse geographical backgrounds, there will be wide varieties of scientific programs covering 22 subspecialty areas in ophthalmology and the visual sciences in WOC 2016. More than 900 speakers from over 100 countries will be participating in over 230 scientific sessions. One of the highlights of WOC 2016 will be the “Day of Landmark Achievements”, where special attention will be given to the key developments in ophthalmology and the visual sciences since the last WOC in 2014.
