Prof Clement CY THAM, Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, has been named on The Ophthalmologist Power List two years in a row. The Ophthalmologist Power List highlights the excellence and impact of the most influential and inspirational people in ophthalmology around the globe. Following the honour on the Power List 2022, Prof Tham has been nominated and voted the top 100 again on the Power List 2023.
Since 2014 The Ophthalmologist Power List has been compiled annually to recognise the influential people in ophthalmology. To mark its 10th anniversary, the Power List 2023 is on the theme of 100 individuals who have demonstrated ‶Ten Years of Excellence and Impact in Ophthalmology″. Nominations to the Power List were made by readers of The Ophthalmologist worldwide. Nominees were assessed across six areas: research, innovation, teaching and mentoring, progressing practice, communication and advocacy, and humanitarianism. The final Power List was voted by an independent panel of 15 world-renowned ophthalmologists, representing a diversity of speciality, and based all around the world.
