The CUHK Jockey Club Ophthalmic Microsurgical Training Programme (CUHK JC OMTP) Exhibition Opening and Appreciation Ceremony (香港中文大學賽馬會眼科顯微手術培訓計劃展覽開幕及敬謝典禮) was held on the 15th of September 2021 at CUHK Eye Centre. We were honoured to have Ms Kitty LIU (Senior Charities Manager, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust) as our Guest of Honour.
Prof Clement CY THAM (Chairman of Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, CUHK, and Director of CUHK JC OMTP) delivered an opening speech to our guests and colleagues.
Prof Clement CY THAM, Ms Kitty LIU (Senior Charities Manager, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust), Prof Calvin CP PANG (Deputy Director of CUHK JC OMTP), Prof Ben NM LAM (Chairman of Hospital Authority Coordinating Committee, Ophthalmology), Prof Alvin L YOUNG (Deputy Hospital Chief Executive, New Territories East Cluster), Prof Hunter KL YUEN (Deputy Hospital Chief Executive, Hong Kong Eye Hospital), Dr Wilson WK YIP (Chief of Service, New Territories East Cluster), Dr Danny SC NG (Vice Director of CUHK JC OMTP), and Dr Shaheeda MOHAMED (Executive Director of CUHK JC OMTP) launched the Exhibition Opening Ceremony.
After the Launch, we had an Appreciation Presentation to the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, our Programme Subspecialty Advisors, Directors, Senior Instructors, Faculty members, Nurses, and Administrative staff. Mr William KW YUEN, Technician of CUHK JC OMTP since the commencement of the Programme, was specially mentioned for his diligent contribution and creative approaches to simulation eye models during the Appreciation Ceremony.
Dr Danny SC NG shared about the progress and achievements of the Programme over the past 3 years and 9 months and Prof Calvin CP PANG emphasized a note of Thanks as a closing remark of the ceremony.
