We are pleased to welcome Dr Charlene CL YIM as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

Dr Yim graduated from CUHK Medicine in 2016, and began her ophthalmology training in 2017, with special interests in paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, and neuro-ophthalmology. In 2023, she was appointed as an Associate Consultant at both the Hong Kong Eye Hospital and the Hong Kong Children′s Hospital (HKCH). She is the Coordinator of the Visual Electrodiagnostic Service of the Ophthalmology Department in HKCH.

Dr Yim has also contributed to research and international conferences, with interests in areas such as amblyopia, myopia, and neuro-ophthalmology. Alongside her clinical work, she mentors junior doctors and supports community eye care.

On welcoming Dr Yim, Prof Clement CY THAM, the Chairman of the Department, remarked, ″It is our greatest pleasure to have  Dr Yim joining our DOVS family. Her clinical experience and research interests will greatly contribute to our work in advancing paediatric ophthalmology.″
