We are delighted to announce that our Associate Professor, Dr Jason CS YAM received the Zeiss Young Investigator Award and presented the Josh Wallman Memorial Lecture in the International Myopia Conference (IMC) on 4-7 September 2022 in Rotterdam of the Netherlands. Dr Yam′s Award Lecture is titled ‶Myopia control and prevention: from life style to low concentration atropine.″
The Josh Wallman Memorial Lecture is one of the significant lectures in the field of Myopia. This lecture is dedicated to the memory of the late Professor Josh Wallman, who pioneered the use of avian model for understanding eye growth and made invaluable contributions to vision research and the field of myopia. It is established to acknowledge both Prof Wallman′s contribution to myopia research and support for myopia researchers. The Josh Wallman Memorial lecture represents one of two keynote presentations to be given at this year′s IMC.
