We are pleased to announce that Dr CHU Wai Kit, Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences (DOVS), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), has been elected as the Chair of the ARVO Global Members Committee for the term from May 2025 to May 2026. In his role, Dr Chu will lead the Committee in assessing the needs of non-U.S. based members and recommending strategies to enhance their participation in ARVO.

Established in 1928 in the USA, ARVO is the largest and most esteemed organization for eye and vision research in the world. With nearly 11,000 researchers from over 75 countries, ARVO′s mission is to promote research that enhances our understanding of the visual system and seeks to prevent, treat, and cure its disorders.
