Four postgraduate students, namely Ms CHEN Xiunian, Ms LI Jiahui, Ms YU Jun, and Mr Ebenezer ZAABAAR, presented their research projects at the 15th National Ophthalmology Graduate Student Forum in Guangzhou from 23 to 25 August 2024. The forum was co-organized by the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Centre of Sun Yat-Sen University, the Graduate School of Sun Yat-Sen University, and the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association. This event provided an excellent platform for our students to exchange research knowledge with ophthalmology talents from various top universities, broadening the academic horizons of graduate students.
We are delighted to announce that our second-year PhD student, Ms YU Jun, received the second prize in the Research Achievement Competition with her abstract titled ″Genetic Association Patterns of TNFRSF10A in cCSCR Subtypes, nAMD, and PCV″. Jun shared, ″The forum provided me with invaluable insights into the latest advancements in ophthalmology and inspired me to integrate more novel research into my work.″
Furthermore, Ms LI Jiahui, our first-year PhD student, was awarded the Excellent Poster Award for her abstract titled ″The Roles of GHRH Signaling in Mitochondrial Functions during Th17 Cell Differentiation″ at the forum. Her winning poster can be viewed here.
