Our Department was pleased to co-organize the GPS Leadership Workshop with the Faculty of Medicine, which welcomed 71 newly admitted GPS students to attend an inspiring sharing session on Professional Networking presented by Prof Clement CY THAM, and to visit our CUHK Eye Centre and Research Centre at Hong Kong Eye Hospital. The GPS students had a chance to visit the training and research facilities in DOVS, including the Ophthalmic Microsurgical Training Centre, Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Ophthalmic Research Laboratory, and CUHK-HKEH Clinical Drug Trial Centre, which enhanced their knowledge about the healthcare facilities and medical technologies in Hong Kong.
Prof Clement CY THAM, our Chairman, presented an inspiring sharing on ″Simple Hacks to Turbocharge your Professional Networking″, moderated by Prof Martin WONG, Professor of the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care and the GPS Group Coordinator, at the Lecture Hall. The sharing elaborated on how students can turbo-charge their professional networking and effectively manage their email communications with smart tips.
DOVS Faculty members and research staff demonstrated the medical techniques and shared their first-hand experiences with the GPS students in the clinical and research guided tours.
