“My-O-Analyser” – our Intelligent Glasses received multiple innovation and technology awards

We are delighted to announce that the Intelligent Glasses ‶My-O-Analyser″ (i.e. My-Optical-Analyser), co-invented with the Robotics and Artificial Intelligent Division of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (RAD of HKPC), are bestowed multiple awards, including the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2022, the TechConnect Innovation Award 2022, and the Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2022.  This invention is exclusively designed and tailor-made for monitoring children′s myopia risk factors.

‶The key impact of ‵My-O-Analyser′ is that parents and ophthalmologists can analyse children′s time for outdoor and near works activities through a mobile application.  The data will help predict myopia development, thus provides guidance and recommendation to parents on children′s eye use. It will also help children change their behaviour and lead a healthier lifestyle,″ said Dr Jason CS YAM, Associate Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

‶The special hinge design of ‵My-O-Analyser′ is compatible with most children′s eyewear frames.  This design makes the eyewear more flexible and convenient, thus provides high customisation and minimises the cost of changing glasses.  A better-fit design with embedded electronic design is adopted for this smart eyewear according to different face shapes and head forms of the wearers.  This will help better fitting, lessens discomfort and enables continuous monitoring of reading distance, reading light, background light level and head posture,″ said Prof GE Ming, General Manager, RAD of HKPC.

The Intelligent Glasses ‶My-O-Analyser″ provides objective and instant information to monitor and correct myopia-related viewing habits.  It makes behavioural intervention in myopia control easier.

Congratulations to Dr Jason CS YAM′s team and the RAD team of HKPC.
