Dr Carol YL Cheung Receives ARVO Silver Fellow

We are delighted to announce that Dr Carol YL CHEUNG, Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), has received the honour of Silver Fellow, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) during the ARVO Annual Meeting 2024 in Seattle, Washington, USA. This honour recognises her unwavering commitment to advancing visual sciences, inspiring colleagues and researchers globally.

Founded in 1928, ARVO is the largest eye and vision research organization in the world, with approximately 10,000 members comprising eye and vision researchers from over 75 countries. It aims to advance research worldwide into understanding the visual system and preventing, treating and curing its disorders.

The ARVO Annual Meeting serves as a premiere gathering for eye and vision scientists, at all career stages, students, and those in affiliated fields to share the latest research findings and collaborate on innovative solutions.

The ARVO Fellow title recognizes current ARVO members who have demonstrated outstanding individual accomplishments, leadership, and significant contributions to the field. The ARVO Fellows also serve as role models and mentors, actively promoting vision research and advocating for vision science on a global scale.
