CUHK – Osaka University Symposium in Ophthalmic Research

We hosted the “CUHK – Osaka University Symposium in Ophthalmic Research”,10th– 13thAugust 2017, and welcomed Prof. Kohji Nishida, Prof. Motokazu Tsujikawa, Dr. Kazuichi Maruyama, Dr. Shizuka Koh, Dr. Shigeru Sato and Dr. Atsuya Miki from Department of Ophthalmology, Graduate School of Medicine, and Osaka University. They visited the new clinical and research facilities at our CUHK Eye Centre and the CUHK Ophthalmic Research Centre. In the symposium, we updated our research programmes and discussed in details our collaborative research projects in ophthalmic genetics, keratoconus, retinal diseases and glaucoma. Prof. Vishal Jhanji (University of Pittsburgh, USA), Prof. Sun On Chan (Assistant Dean of Education, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK), Dr. Poeman Chan (Associate Consultant, Hong Kong Eye Hospital), also participated in the symposium with our faculty members and students.

We are much delighted to strengthen our academic network and friendship with the Osaka University.

Prof. Kohji Nishida explored the EYESI Surgical Simulator in the Microsurgical Training Centre.
