The GOAP (Global Ophthalmology Awards Program) committee met in HK from 13thJuly to 15thJuly. We were honoured to have the world-renowned committee members visiting our department on 14thJuly. Our department chairman, Prof Clement Tham (Middle row, 6th), welcome them with consultant ophthalmologists from Hong Kong Eye Hospital, and our other faculty members and staff.
We showed them the facilities at the CUHK Ophthalmic Research Centre and the CUHK Eye Centre. Dr Mårten Brelén, Director of Pao So Kok Macular Disease Treatment & Research Centre and Assistant Professor, gave a presentation on our department’s latest retina research. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to exchange new ideas with the guests and establish stronger network with these vitreo-retina experts.
Our assistant professor Dr Mårten Brelén gave a presentation on the retina research at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Eye Hospital.
